Mike and I finally found time to do a mountain tour together: From Olivone (Ticino) to Vrin (Graubünden) across the tundra-like Greina plateau, on the first hot weekend of the summer. Although we walked through a lot of snow, it was around 14° even at over 2000m altitude. Climbing up from 900m to 2200m on the first day must have been one of my toughest challenges lately. But I made it after 5 long hours (and made a plan to become more fit). We slept in the Capanna Scaletta with a great view across the valley. The next day we crossed the pass into the beautiful Greina plateau. It only took a couple of hours to cross, then we were already on the next pass and on our way down the other side. We met some people by a "milk bar" on the side of the mountain (a jug of milk, some cups, chocolate, and a box for coins) who arranged a ride home for us, and then the trip was already almost over. Thanks Mike, it was great!
